Darkspot and PIH

Dark spot and PIH(Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)Treatment

Hello everyone its been a while, i don't even remember when was the last time i check my blogspot but here i am looking at my blogspot and feel guilty because i haven't updated anything for quite a long time. Anyway, i'm trying to start writing again in order to fulfill my free time. So yeah i guess that's enough for the intro then let me just start about this topic.

Dark spot and PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)are skin problem that common for them that experience acne skin. Usually dark spot and PIH come after the acne gone but it left some dark spot that is quite annoying because it can make your skin looks dirty and dull. Skin hyperpigmentation or dark spot is the result of melanin  synthesis in the melanosomes of melanocytes (MCs), followed by the progressive transfer of this melanin to keratinocytes (Kim et al., 2017). Concisely, melanin is the pigment that responsible for skin color and it is the one that produce dark spot on the skin. However we don't need to be worry because in these days there are many ingredients that can help for hyperpigmentation and dark spot, one of them is Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is important for some of human skin process such as dermal collagen synthesis, antiaging and antioxidation. Vitamin C inhibit the activity of enzyme that support the production of melanin (Miao F et al., 2017). Shortly, when the production of melanin started to reduce, dark spot on the skin will fade and the skin appearance will be brighten.

After i read some journals and watch videos about dark spot and PIH i come to my conclusion and decided to try Vit.C serum in order to reduce my dark spot. Subjectively, i'm a fan of Garnier products so when it comes to choosing skincare i looked for garnier products and  found out that they had Vit.C serum so i bought it directly.

Garnier Bright Complete Vitamin C 30x Booster Serum 30ml (Rp91.000 on Shopee)

How to use:

- Clean your face with micellar water or facial wash

- Use toner/essence (Let it absorb totally)

- Apply the serum on dry skin

- Apply sunscreen

- Use this serum on a day is better that at night

- Remember to use sunscreen every time you apply Vit.C serum

What's the effect on my skin:

- The dark spot on my skin faded and reduced *i felt the effect only within two weeks

- My skin tone got brighter

- Whenever i had acne, my acne got worse when i use the serum and turns out we are not suggested to use brightening ingredients whenever we still have acne. So it is important for you to remember if you still have active acne please don't use this serum, you need to wait until your acne gone first.

After all, i like this serum and i already repurchase it twice. So for you guys that are willing to try this serum just go and try it. i don't guarantee that the effect on your skin will be the same as me but at least you tried. Treating our skin is not easy, i also feel the same, we need to explore and find the right skincare for our skin. So please be patient to find the right one.
